Allow me to introduce myself

I’m Peter Nicholson, host of the Unhyped Sales Podcast. My working life has been varied. I have run my own businesses and spent many years in the corporate sector with roles ranging from customer service to management. It was only after working in a sales role that I started to bring together some ideas that I believe are critical to successful business and relationship-based sales.

Have you experienced poor service or even felt you were being treated as a conduit to a sale rather than a person with genuine feelings? Many people can recount terrible customer service experiences. Perhaps you’ve been ignored or even spoken to rudely when you have entered a store. So where is the disconnect? Most business owners would agree that it is hard to get a customer, but easy to lose one with poor service. For that reason, I began writing about how to identify these fundamental issues and how to make beneficial changes – beneficial both to the business owner or professional, and importantly to the client or customer.

What I observed, learned and applied has provided the basis for the “Unhyped Sales” podcast. I formulated the “Sales Service Mindset” and the “Principled Attitude” as cornerstone values in establishing high performing teams and in cultivating a positive work culture.

It is my belief that no person or business is an island. We need each other and are far better positioned when we partner with the right person, people, or business.
